Rehearsal clip (Sep.2014)

This is a drawing I made prior to the animation.
It is from a series of sketches I drew in the hopes of developing a style I liked and found appropriate for my animated music video.

Although this particular sketch is in a style which I like a lot, I quickly found out that,
at 12 frames –drawings – per second, I could not afford to spend so much as 2 minutes
 on each sketch.

This drawing is a lot more detailed, than the former, and, of course, is also one of a skeleton. Therefore, it really wasn't ever considered for the animation.
However, I find it very useful to draw the bones forming the human body, because it reminds me and helps me understand how they correspond to and interact with each other; conveying movement accurately in the animation has become a lot easier, and looks better after experimenting (a few times) using this technique with dancers.

A Sneak Peek At The Choreography For My Animation

This is a small section of the video I recorded in November/December with Emma H, Emma B and Rebecca S. We created the choreography specifically for the song Wicked Games (a cover by London Grammar), having a clear idea of the narrative I wanted my music video to follow.
I have based my animation on the footage from the performance.

The evolution of my last drawing!

Digital drawing made by me / ideas for front cover

This drawing was the first one I made, and I think it's the one I like the best. However, I think the man in the drawing is very ugly and looks slightly underfed.
Nevertheless, I think I will use the 'skeleton' of the drawing for my final front cover.

This is a VERY rough drawing of a scene in the animation, and I personally don't like it, but the still frame in the animation is very appealing for a front cover, so I will ask people in class which drawing they like the best and why, and base my final product on the results.

This was another idea.

This went awfully wrong... and there wasn't an 'undo' button.
